The Hope Initiative

#64 - Elevate Others

Episode Summary

"Running for me helped me get more confident with expressing myself in a creative way. Whether it’s for photography or making a garment or bringing two people together to make a conversation. Like, this is creativity, you know? I think it’s being observant with your everyday life and actually being present enough to be like, ‘Oh shit, that’s beautiful, that’s a moment’.” Episode #64 of The Hope Initiative with Matt Willocks.

Episode #64 of The Hope Initiative with Matt Willocks.

I started following Willocks on Instagram in mid 2020 after a mutual friend of ours tagged him in an Instagram story. What I saw in his own IG inspired me to dig a little deeper and ultimately I knew I had to have him on as a guest of the podcast. Whilst 2020 and 2021 have provided an enormous amount of challenges for humans everywhere, it’s people like Matt Willocks that remind me of why I started this podcast. Connection. Creativity. Community. All things at the forefront of what I love and things that are the core of what this great man is on the daily.
I’m honoured to present this epic chat with someone I hope to hang out with a lot more in the future. Please enjoy. xx

For most of my guests, it’s likely their first ever podcast, so reach out, tell them what section of them talking tickled your brain. It means a lot.
